Electrification and energy storage

We have a proven history of delivering study and design work for clean power generation and have performed projects for various forms of energy storage, including:

  • battery energy storage
  • compressed air energy storage
  • thermal energy storage
  • liquid air energy storage
Examples of work

Some examples of our electrification work include the OGCI refinery study in the United Kingdom and the Petrobras offshore electrification study in Brazil. In the United States, we recently provided turnkey engineering and development services for a large portfolio of battery energy storage systems, totaling 300MWh. In battery storage, we are working on the CIP Coalburn project in the United Kingdom, which will include a 500MW+ battery energy storage system, in addition to delivering a waste heat recovery project for power generation and detailed design for biomass power generation facility.

Waste to energy

Our expertise creating waste to energy solutions ranges from small commercial heat generation to large industrial heat and power plants that process a wide range of feedstock to materials that would traditionally have been treated as waste.
